I have soooo much to blog about for our summer and I am really far behind. So instead of feeling overwhelmed with trying to catch up I am going to start with recent events and then occasionally have what I will call "Summer Flashbacks" and eventually everything will be recorded. I hope.
We are gearing up for Nick and Tatiana to start school tomorrow!!! Nick will be in middle school, I can hardly believe it. But then again, I can. He is so responsible and such a great kid. Even on his off days he is better than most boys his age. I am so proud of him! Tatiana will be our only one at the elementary school. She has always had her brother their with her, seeing him at recess, passing him in the hall, finding his artwork on the wall, etc. It will be a new adventure for her to fly solo. But she is ready and confident. ALL of her "same grade" friends are in her class! She is very excited! Ben will be going to preschool starting Thursday. He is excited, but admittedly nervous. He wants me to come to school with him. The first day the parents do all come, but after that I am hoping he loves his cool new classroom and teacher and he forgets all about his nerves. He has one little buddy he already knows attending the same class, that will help. I will be getting a lot of Andrew-quality-time this year!
Life is finally slowing down for me personally. I am trying to run more, have completed a few sewing projects, finishing up a few Girl Scout badges Tatiana has been working on over the summer and just needs one or two more things to complete. We have been harvesting and putting up the garden, made salsa, shredded zucchini, stored carrots, etc. Busy, but at least we are home!
So I will be posting about our most recent events and then going back to summer things here and there. I will label them "Summer Flashbacks" and I will put a date on everything for now on so you know when things actually happened. This wouldn't all be so confusing if we wouldn't be such an exciting family! HaHaHa!!! I am hoping that since I have to get up so early to get Nick up for middle school I can blog early in the morning before the rest of the clan gets up. We'll see.
