Mommy's Mistake = New Tradition!

Every year I buy everyone matching Old Navy flag t-shirts for the 4th. This year I forgot about it until the 3rd! (Wonder why I would've forgotten??? Lack of sleep!!!) So when we showed up at Old Navy to find the shirts pretty well picked through I wasn't discouraged, instead I told the children we would look at Target or Fred Meyers. Then Nick said, "Why don't we make our own?" What a great idea! So we bought white t-shirts for everyone (even Grandma and Grandpa!) and fabric markers. Then for a family activity the night of the 3rd we all sat down and decorated our own t-shirts. The kids did such an awesome job and we had such a good time with it that I think this will be our NEW family tradition for the 4th of July!
