Ben is so cool...even for HIS age!

I take Andrew and Ben to the school to have lunch with the kids every Wednesday. They have different lunch times so I alternate kids each week. This week was Nick's turn. What I witnessed just has to be journaled. It is too funny.

Ben was sitting at the lunch table among Nick and all his buddies. He was being a ham and the boys were loving it. Ben loved being the center of attention and the boys love having Ben there. Then in the middle of all this goofiness Taylor said, "I can't believe how cool he is!" Then Matt said, "I know and he isn't even in school yet!" and then Robby exclaimed, "Just think how cool he will be when he's OUR age!" Too which everyone at the table said "Yeah!" and laughed. Ben laughed too and slapped his forehead. It was so funny. Then they asked him, "Hey Ben, are you cool?" And of course he said, "Yes!" and then they asked, "Hey Ben, who's the coolest kid in the whole school?" And Ben in all his humility responded with a loud, "ME!" as he proudly pointed to his chest. All the boys burst into laughter and all requested high fives or knuckles. There were 11 boys he had to give one or the other two. It was quite a site. Then the lunch aide came over and I told her, "I don't even know why Andrew and I come, we're invisible. It's all about Ben."

Instead of going out to the field to play soccer like they usually do, some of the boys stayed and played with Ben for the first part of the recess. Then we left to go home. Ben was walking tall when we left. I have to say that Nick is the best big brother and is so great with Ben. Not all big brothers would be so cool about their little brother coming and hanging out at the school, but Nick invites us! They are both very sweet kids!
