Nashville, TN

Our first stop on our big trip was Nashville, TN. We met Lisa and her boys there and they showed us around and we all had a great time.

Lisa and I walking around downtown Nashville, surviving the heat.
We went to The Hermitage which was the home of Andrew Jackson. It was a very HOT day in the south. But a beautiful place to see.

The kids really liked all the boys. Andrew took a particular liking to Seth, their 16 year old son.
Walking around The Hermitage. Left to Right; Zach (the oldest), Seth (the youngest), Lisa (holding Andrew), Lisa's nursing school friend, and Chase (the middle brother).
Then Lisa took us to Opry Mills where we did some fun things like...
Feed shrimp to sting rays!

Look at the amazing aquariums in a restaurant!

And just hang out and have fun together!

Lisa then took us to the Grand Ol' Opry house. We didn't see a show, but we were there.

Then to the Parthenon. An exact replica of the one in Greece.
The next day we went to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch. That was a fun place to eat and a really fun group to eat with!

Of course the kids had to try on cowboy hats while we were there.

Then we went to the Ryman Auditorium which was the home of the original Grand Ol' Opry and Hee Haw!
The Ryman has such amazing acoustics that it is second only to the Mormon Tabernacle! We all enjoyed our time in Nashville with Lisa and the boys! We'll miss ya'll!
