Tatiana has been working hard on her school science project. I am very proud of her and impressed with all she has done. This has been her first science project using the scientific method and has learned some new things. Her question was, "I wonder what is stronger, your sense of smell or your sense of taste?" Her hypothesis was "I think your sense of taste is stronger because you have more taste buds and sometimes your nose is stuffy." The way she tested this hypothesis was to invite many friends over and make five different juices, then she had each person smell each juice with their eyes closed and then taste them and tell her what they thought the juices were. We did two test groups. The first group was just kids, the second group included adults and she had the second group plug their noses when they tasted. She had decided to do the second test group because of some things she learned in her research.
She did a great job and had a lot of fun doing it. I helped her finish up her project before we left town for our vacation even though it wasn't due for a few more days. We had a good time working together and she wanted mommy to help her. Such a sweetheart.
