January Happenings

January was a month of playing catch up from the holidays but we found time for some fun here and there too.

Nathan spending some quality time playing cards with the boys. I have to include the little everyday memories too. They are so sweet.

January 17th was a no-school day so we met some friends at the Chuck E. Cheese in Salem. The kids had a GREAT time! I loved catching up with my friends. We are all busy moms and we hardly ever can get together, but when we do we always pick up right where we left off the last time. Even if it has been months. That is a sign of a good friend!

Andrew is not too sure about the giant mouse... just look at that face!

I pulled out my big dry-erase board I used to use for preschool and Ben has found a favorite past time. He loves drawing on it. Here is a self portrait... I think the likeness is uncanny! Ben LOVES to draw and is quite good for a 5 year old!

Tatiana and Andrew also enjoy drawing on it. I love how well our children share and get along!

January 22nd was our first visit of the year to the park. We walked, rode bikes, or scooters down to the park and enjoyed a cool, but pretty day as we all got some fresh air and wiggles out.

I love these pictures. Ben's look on his face is "what?"

then, "Oh! You mean this?!" He got a little muddy picking up sticks and doing boys stuff. We didn't bring any wet wipes or anything so he learned how to clean his hands off on the wet grass and dry them on his jeans.

On January 29th, Nick wend with Nathan on an Elder's Quorum activity. They went out to shoot guns. They do all kind of "cool stuff", everything from shooting pop cans to blowing up tires and bowling balls. I don't think boys ever fully grow up! Nick loves this special time with his dad. And Nick is a nice and mature young man so no one minds that he comes along. I love this picture of Nick, he looks like he has a future in the FBI or something. Such a natural! Daddy says he's a good shot too!

I totally agree! You have to blog the everyday little things! Especially since you use this as a journal/scrapbook.
I adore the picture of Nathan playing cards with the little boys! And I agree that self portrait of Ben's is AMAZING! Seriously!!
