The Nutcracker Ballet with my daughter!

I have never been to the Nutcracker Ballet. This year my friend's daughter was performing with the Chamber Ballet and Regional School of Ballet in Corvallis. I took Tatiana to a wonderful evening at the Ballet on Friday, December 3rd. It was very nice and we both had a lot of fun. We think we want to make this a mother/daughter Christmas tradition!

I gave Tatiana and early Christmas present, her very first nutcracker! She absolutely loves him! She named him "Nutty Clause", isn't she cute! She also wants this to be a part of our tradition, then she can have a collection of nutcrackers!

I have a collection of Nativities, so when I was buying her nutcracker and saw this nativity set nutcrackers, I just had to buy it for myself to add to my collection! I now have 34 depictions of the Nativity, that is not counting books.

Here we are before the show. We arrived very early because we left late. Ha ha! That doesn't make much sense does it? I wanted to leave early enough to do a little shopping, but we left later than planned and instead of feeling rushed through our shopping we decided to just arrive at the ballet early and relax and enjoy ourselves. It was a good thing we did too, because they had some really yummy desserts for sale and we were able to enjoy one before the show and sit and relax with some friends.

It was a wonderful evening! I am so happy I was able to share this with my sweet daughter! I love her so much, she is such a blessing in my life!!!

Awwww.... so fun! Love it! A great tradition to start.

My two girls just finished dancing in their studio's production of The Nutcracker! Kaitlyn was in the party scene at the start of the show as one of Clara's cousins (she liked it cause she got to wear a fancy dress and a hair piece with lots of curls!) And Alycia was a mouse. Yep... one of the Rat King's minions! LOL! They both LOVED it!

I LOVE the Nutcracker! I take Lily every year! We've only missed going 3 different years in the last 8 years. One year we brought Glenn because he was always jealous that I took her and not him. He drove us crazy, asking us questions non-stop. Keep up the new tradition you've started. It's awesome! But next year come up to Portland and go with Lily and I at the Keller.
