Duct tape and toy phone

Like father like son, Nick took it upon himself to fix the wheel on Ben's car. What did he use? Duct tape of course! At least he was being helpful and taking charge of the situation. Good work. Nick, its good as new. Sort of?

I was doing the dishes and I looked over to see Ben talking on the toy cell phone like he there was really somebody there on the other line. It was too cute of a moment and I just had to save it in a picture.

Tiana's Girl Scout craft fun

Tiana had fun at Girl Scouts doing some fun Halloween and Fall crafts.

They decorated sugar cookies. Yummy!
They also decorated pumpkins and made "Welcome Fall" seed art. The "FALL" is filled in with different seeds. They turned out really cute!
P.S. Don't you just love her shirt?!

Tatiana's journal entry

I haven't posted about our sweet daughter in a while. She is such an angel and a huge part of our lives but because she and Nick are at school and Ben and Andrew are at home with me, the older two get left with fewer pictures and fewer posts. So here is one just for Tatiana!

Here is a lego house she created recently. She loves to play legos with her brothers and is quite good at it. She has never asked for a regular dollhouse because she makes her own out of legos and thinks that is so cool. I think she's right, that is so cool. It is her own creation and she can add to it or change it anyway she likes. She can make them small for the little lego people or big enough for her Polly Pockets or Littlest Pet Shops to be in. Very clever girl!

Tiana loves her baby brother so much! She wrote a journal entry all about him. It is very precious ans she gave me permission to copy it onto the blog so that we have it forever in case she ever losses her other journal. So here is it exactly how she wrote it, word for word, misspells and everything...

Entry 1: Andrew's life. When Andrew was born I was 7. Andrew looked so cute when he was born. When I saw him he looked just like a real andrew. I don't know what he well look like when he is older.
Entry 2: When Andrew was little bit older he was stel very cute. He was growing fast and one secrt is andrew can talk. I was very suprised when he talked. Andrew's first word was "hi" he was only 0 years old he is very smart. I hope he well be helpful by being good and do his homework and clean his roon when he is told. So he can be very smart and do his chores when he is told. when it is general comfence I hope he well listen and not be loud and crazy because he might make us not write what we want to write and he would not bother us. (They take notes during our general conferences and Ben has been known to be loud and crazy when they were trying to listen.) when he is 20 or 21 I want him to be marryed in a temple. I now I well be marryed in a temple and have good children because I well teach them good stuff.

Oh! How precious!!!

Andrew in the bathtub-all bubbles and smiles!

I just had to post this super adorable picture of our handsome baby boy in the bathtub. He was so happy and giggly that I couldn't resist taking this photo. OH!!! I am so in love with this kid!

And here you can see his two front teeth better, they are getting bigger and more noticeable when he smiles. So cute!!!

Fun at Indoor Park

I am thinking of joining this "Indoor Park" with the boys. We went and tried it out last week and Ben loved it! They set up LOTS of toys inside a big gym at the Boys and Girls Club for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. It is such a great idea especially when the winter weather sets in and the outdoor parks are impossible.

Ben actually made a couple of baskets!

Giddy-up!

Ben was so excited when he discovered one of his best buds there with his grandma! Two cowboys just ridin' the range.

My sister's wedding

Nathan, Andrew and I went to Kearney, NE this past weekend for my sister, Kimberly's, wedding! Nick and Ben stayed with our friend's, the Nelsons, and Tiana stayed with our friend's, the Clarks. Usually Grandma and Grandpa Tolman stays with them but they were visiting Nathan's sister, Karinda, who just had another baby girl!

This was Andrew's first time on an airplane and he did really great, especially for someone who is still teething! Thankfully we had this teething toy that Dianne gave us! Thanks Dianne!

Andrew and his little cousin, Carter, were the two ring bearers. Carter is my sister, Holly's, baby boy and he is a month younger than Andrew. I made both of their outfits and I think they both looked adorable! They did a good job too. Neither of them cried, spit up, or blew out during the ceremony. Success!

This is my Grandma and Grandpa Zimbelman, GREAT grandparents to our kids! They were able to meet Andrew. My Grandpa is winning a battle with throat cancer but wasn't feeling well. I am so glad they were able to come!

My parents were able to meet Andrew for the first time too. Andrew really liked my dad, he could make him laugh or smile every time!

And this is Jim Johnson, he was my brother's Army Captain and has since become a part of the family. He is a hero to us in so many ways!

Here are my other two sisters, Becky is the tall one on the left, and Holly is on the right behind the flower girl (they were trying to keep each other warm). They were bridesmaids.

Here Kim and her hubby, Brandon, are holding all the children. Brandon is holding the ring bearers, Andrew and Carter. Kim is holding one of the flower girls, Makella (my sister Becky's daughter), and the other flower girl is Elsie, our little cousin.

Kim and Brandon had a beautiful outdoor wedding on October 18th. They held it at a golf course and it was just before sunset. Congratulations to my sister and new brother-in-law! We love you both!

All this wedding stuff sure wears a little guy out! Sweet dreams Andrew...

Nick's OSU game with Dad and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa Tolman came to visit this weekend! They arrived Friday evening and are leaving tomorrow morning. We had a great time together. The kids particularly enjoyed themselves this weekend. On Saturday, after Ben's birthday party, Tiana and Grandma went shopping and out to Cold Stone for a "Grandma date". They had a great time!

At the same time Nick was able to go with his Dad and Grandpa to an Oregon State vs. Washington game over in Corvallis. Nick was beaming! He loved the time he was able to spend with them doing "grown up guys stuff". OSU won 66-13. Go Beavs! It was a beautiful day for it too! They all got new Beaver gear for the game. Lookin' sharp!

Ben's party!

Ben had his "friend birthday party" on Saturday morning. He invited several friends to come. All but one was able to make it. He had his friends Lincoln, Andrew, Harrison, and Karissa over for a fun Train birthday! As you can see we had the same cupcake train cake. Yummy!

Good job blowing out the candles, Ben!

Good cake!

Present time! What nice friends to brings such nice gifts!

We played a lot in Ben's room. Here we are playing with the balloon swords. We also played with trains, follow the leader, and Ben's new "Elefun" game. What a fun day!

Tatiana's day with the horses!

I know I have had a lot of post about Ben recently, but it was just his birthday and he is at such a fun age, doing so much. Plus we are together a lot. But now on to our other children too. Yes, they have fun, are photographed, and we have stories to tell about them too.

My co-leader and I took Tatiana and her Girl Scout Brownie troop to a Horse Ranch nearby on Friday, October 9th. There was no school. We had a wonderful day with the horses and all the girls had a great time. Tatiana really enjoyed herself. Here she is grooming the horse (I cannot remember his name) before riding him. He kept sticking his toungue out everytime I took a picture!

Lillie, Katie, Tatiana, and Kristen. We have seven girls in our troop now, here is just four of them. Kristen is the other leader's daughter.

Giddy-yup! Tatiana on her horse. What a natural. She loved it and was really wishing she could go again.

Mary Beth, the owner, leading Tatiana around the corral.

Lillie, Katie, Kristen, Tatiana, and Grace.

Here is the whole troop with Miss Mary Beth at Roddy Ranch. I was making them look into the bright sun for this photo. Sorry girls!

After our two hours as the horse ranch we went to McDonalds for ice cream cones and cookies. What a fun day!!!

Oh, and of course Andrew was there too! His first experience with horses!

Ben's Third Birthday!!!

Ben is THREE YEARS OLD!!! Ben turned three this week and I must say it was so fun for the both of us! This is the first year he really knew what a birthday meant and was able to excited about it. And boy, was he ever excited! Every morning for a week he would get up and be all excited and ask if it was his birthday now? He would run out and point to the birthday stuff I had waiting on the kitchen counter and then point to himself and say "Meee! Mine!? Now!? Yes!?" And I would say, "No, not today. Not yet." and his shoulders would sag and he's say, "Oh." It was too sweet.

On his birthday it was all excitement, all fun, and all Ben!

He went to speech school on his birthday and on the way we were stopped at a Railway crossing. We never get stuck at a train, but on his birthday we did. Oh! Ben was so excited! He loves trains. So I told him the train came just for him on his birthday. He was very excited! At school he brought rice crispy treats and bananas for his birthday treats. He was the man of the hour and felt very cool. Then he was able to ride the bus home which is his absolute favorite things to do!

Later "his Sara" came over with some homemade cookies for him. She is one of our babysitters and Ben just lights up when he sees her. She has babysat for us the longest and we love her. She is more than a babysitter, more than a friend, she has become family!

Then Ben "helped" make his birthday cake. He loves to help in the kitchen!

A cupcake birthday train! Happy Birthday Ben!

Mmmm! Yummy!
Nick, Tiana, and Andrew all wish their brother a very Happy Birthday!

This is one of his gifts from us. I got this complete Little People Castle set at the retail shop for only $15!!! What a deal! And he loves Little People and plays with this all the time!

We also got these Little People police car, fire truck, farm tractor train, and circus train at the resale shop for $10! They all make noises when you push on them. For example when you push the fireman down the siren sounds, when you push the pig down you hear an oinking. Very cute! He loves them!

Here are some other gifts from grandparents and family. What a fun birthday! Thank you everybody!!!
